During the first week we do two postpartum visits at your home to check on you and the baby. The first visit is done 24-48 hours after the birth.
We see you again at home 4-6 days after the birth. At these visits we can do
newborn metabolic screening and have you sign the birth certificate.
•You continue to see us at the birth center for postpartum follow-up until 6-8
